Youth/Young adult drop-in program and outreach services
New Wave/Nueva Onda: is located at 120 Maple Street, Springfield, MA. It provides youth/young adults who are between the ages of serves 13-24 year olds with outpatient substance abuse treatment co-occurring disorder. A street outreach team provides rapid HIV testing and referral to confirmatory testing. Youth/young adults may also come to a drop in center that is open 3 days/week, for access to food, computers, supplies, and services, including participating in a weekly Seeking Safety recovery curriculum. Eligibility: Springfield resident (age 13-24 years) with active substance use or relapse issues with a co-occurring disorder.
