Adolescent and Family Services
Gandara’s Adolescent and Family Services provide an array of assessment, residential, foster care, school and after school and family supports to youth who are experiencing family instability and other trauma, in multiple sites in greater Springfield, Holyoke and Greenfield.
It programs are grounded in four key values:
- Every child/youth can learn to be safe, happy and proficient.
- Behavior does not define a youth. Each youth can learn to make choices that are healthy for a youth and his/her community.
- We do not control a child/youth; we help to shape an environment and provide tools that will increase skills and offer opportunities to practice healthy, positive choices.
- Effective work with children/youth is grounded in the staff’s active effort to know themselves and the children/youth with whom they work.
